Welcome to the inaugural ICOPHAI site. We have about 250 accepted participants that will be attending and presenting at the congress. We also received an overhelming interest from so many professionals world-wide. In order to provide access to the knowledge shared during the congress, the organizing body of ICOPHAI is happy to announce its partnership with MTNGS and The Ohio State University (OSU) Media Services. Preliminary Program
With more than 128 abstracts accepted for oral and poster presentations submitted by participants from 40 countries of six continents, the ICOPHAI congress is ready to foster a great scientific and policy interaction. Each of the eight thematic plenary sessions are led by world renowned scientists who will deliver plenary address in addition to the three keynote speakers listed above. In addition, one day prior to the congress, on September 14th, there will be two parallel workshops on highly important issue including Enhanced Diagnostic Pathology Capacity for Tandboundary diseases and Science-Based Risk Analysis and Modelling: Promoting Global Trade in Africa. CHECK-IN AT THE UN CONFERENCE CENTER- All congress participants ARE EXPECTED TO PRE-REGISTER PRIOR TO THE DEADLINE. Additionally, al participants are strongly advised to check in at the conference center and finalize gate clearance and receive badges, on the precongress day- SEPTEMBER 14TH. This is an important step to avoid delay on congress activities that begins on September 15th early morning.
Travel and Accommodations
High quality hotels in close proximity to the UN Conference Center are ready and waiting to host ICOPHAI participants. Please make sure to book your room at your earliest convenience in order to receive the negotiated discount rates. Shebelle Ethiopia Conference Services (SECS) and the Ohio State University Liaison Office for eastern Africa are available to assist participants for coordinating travel and accommodations. SECS provides the following services to congress attendees:
- Hotel booking and airline transfer isues
- Processing visa on arrival and assits on visa availability
- Arranges shuttle services between the airport, hotels, and congress venue as needed.
